A super-tiny pseudoscorpion, Chernetini sp. - its abdomen would've been barely 2mm long. Its crazy pincer-arm things are quite a bit bigger!

Like scorpions, pseudoscorpions are arachnids but they don't have a tail or stinger.

A teeny pseudoscorpion, Chernetini sp., grabbing on to a fly's legs to catch a free ride. This is known as phoresy - the pseudoscorpion uses the fly to travel to new environments, because doing so on its own would be incredibly slow.

There's a larger pseudoscorpion the other side of the fly - you can sort of make it out through the fly's wing. I normally don't pay a lot of attention to flies but this one's mad struggles to detach the pseudoscorpions caught my eye.
