Some photos of our recent trip to Aarhus, a beautiful gem of a city with the awesome rainbow panorama on top of its Aros art museum. Definitely worth a visit!

Took my trusty little Lumix LX15 with me and tried to do a little bit of street photography.

A large roof terrace with lots of places to sit and a wooden deck. The benches are mostly rectangular with some plants planted between them. A round, rainbow coloured panorama walk spans over the whole building and offers the opportunity to walk through it and see the world in different colours, because the windows are completely coloured like a rainbow. A seagull sits on a post from which a lifebuoy hangs. Behind it, a harbor basin can be seen. On the opposite bank stand a large harbor crane and several buildings. View of a street in the town of Aarhus. Some people, cars and bikes can be seen. One house wall has a large anti-atomic energy symbol painted on it with the words "Atomkraft? Nej tak" written inside it. Detail view of a street, part of a round, steel bench is visible as well as an electrical box. Behind it are a door and a window from a boutique. The electric box is covered by an old poster that supports communism. Detail view of the red part of the rainbow panorama on top of the Aros art museum in Aarhus. In front of it part of a roof can be seen with a camera pole with multiple surveillance cameras mounted on it. The silhouettes of some people can be seen inside the rainbow walk.

Didn't plan on visiting the Cistern; didn't expect to find these folks waiting on us there. Creepy. We made it out alive.


An empty underground cistern which was being used as an art gallery. In this image, larger than life-sized sculpture representing people dressed in costume from a couple of centuries ago stand in the relatively dark cistern under spotlights to create a strange effect.

Was visiting Skovsgaard castle, on the island of , 🇩🇰 this weekend. Or rather the nature around the castle.

Today the castle is owned by Danmarks Naturfredningsforening (Danish for "Denmark's Nature Conservation Association"), You can visit the castle of a small fee, but the nature (fields, forest and bogs) belonging to the castle are free to visit.

A small red brick castle seen from the bridge across the moat, towards the main entrance. The castle has one central greenish cobber clad tower in front of a two-story wing with two cross-wings that have pointed gables.

The little girl in the second row looks quite unhappy about being on the tour (Copenhagen, 2013)

I dislike doing classically "touristy" things (would rather self-guide and walk miles with camera in hand), but these canal tour boats in Copenhagen are a fun way to see the city from a different perspective.


A tour boat heading out of Nyhavn on its way to show the canals and city is about to pass under a low bridge where the photographer is standing. The harbor is crowded with boats on both sides.

A photo set rediscovered. It was a chaotic but exciting time in my life. Almost everything changed at once. Glad to find these. Glad to be in a more quiet phase now. Glad to be going back to Denmark again in a month. I'll post a few more of this set in the next week or so.
