Some photos of our recent trip to Aarhus, a beautiful gem of a city with the awesome rainbow panorama on top of its Aros art museum. Definitely worth a visit!

Took my trusty little Lumix LX15 with me and tried to do a little bit of street photography.

A large roof terrace with lots of places to sit and a wooden deck. The benches are mostly rectangular with some plants planted between them. A round, rainbow coloured panorama walk spans over the whole building and offers the opportunity to walk through it and see the world in different colours, because the windows are completely coloured like a rainbow. A seagull sits on a post from which a lifebuoy hangs. Behind it, a harbor basin can be seen. On the opposite bank stand a large harbor crane and several buildings. View of a street in the town of Aarhus. Some people, cars and bikes can be seen. One house wall has a large anti-atomic energy symbol painted on it with the words "Atomkraft? Nej tak" written inside it. Detail view of a street, part of a round, steel bench is visible as well as an electrical box. Behind it are a door and a window from a boutique. Some different perspectives of Fredericia, a charming little town in Denmark. You can see the bridge which leads to the island Fyn, the small lighthouse and two of the specialties of this city: the old water tower (which you can get on top of, awesome view!) and the pedestrian light signals. Definitely a place worth a visit!

At first glance I thought this starfish was dead like the hundreds of other ones we found at the beach, but then it started flailing its little suction tentacles around and we put it back in the water where hopefully the waves didn't instantly wash it back on land. This animal was tiny, the photo is at 1:1 magnification.

A tiny starfish with slightly orange colour lying on wet sand. Three of its arms are rolled up and onwards towards its center, a few of its many suction tentacles are stretched out, trying to find something to cling to.

A colony of paper wasps decided to build their nest in our garden, which was a nice opportunity to get to know them a bit. They are rather friendly and were ready to pose for a portrait.

Some paper wasps on their nest. It's a macro photo on great detail. The wasps have long orange antennas and orange legs and wings too. One is facing the camera and a few others are working behind it.

One of the lion's mane jellyfish we saw here so far. There are not many of them along the shoreline, but occasionally one of two drift into shallow water. Always fascinating to see.

Since everyone and their house fly already posted the eclipse, well, here's another one of the exact same sun in the exact same frame. The first photo has some trees in the frame, which was a nice addition for some extra depth.

But it was my first time working with special foil, crafting a homemade filter and setting it all up. That was a cool new experience!

A composite image of six different stages of a partial eclipse, where around 90 percent of the sun was hidden behind the moon.
