While I was looking for photo spots in the Taunus, I stumbled upon an old postcard showing this view. I really like it. Looking forward to fall with more colors and some clouds and fog.

The sun illuminates the slopes of a gentle, wooded valley that stretches toward the horizon toward a larger mountain. Several towers and an antenna are visible on the mountain. A town can be seen in front of the mountain. The ruins of a castle rise on one of the hills along the valley.

The photo shows a trail in a forest leading in an s-curve from the left front to the left middle. The trail is framed by spruce trees and the remains of an old dead spruce are lying across the trail. The ground of the forest is brown reddish from old leaves and needles with patches of vivid green from moss. Due to the mist you cannot see very far.
