The AQI is 154 at present, down from 172 last night. Since the fires are relatively far from us, are air quality tends to fluctuate wildly.

I can tell a lot by the level of my brain fog.

A slight cooldown is expected, but no moisture.

And just like that, the smoke is back. When I went to bed last night, the AQI was 83. When I woke, it was to a headache and an AQI of 133.

The fluctuations are because I’m so far from the worst fires. I’m grateful for that.
