A statue of a woman lying on her belly and resting on her forearms holding a stick with a star at the top, on Rue de la Loi in Brussels. The statue seems to be looking at the direction of the Residence Palace building which is recognisable in the background and lit by the sunset. The statue is part of an art piece by sculptor René Julien.

And now for something completely different...

Just yesterday, I was (sort of forced to) ride on one of those double-decker tourist buses ( teambuilding )

A bonus: I was at the end of a roll of Kodak colour film in my Olympus Trip 35 and we were driving past the Atomium in Brussels. One click, and off to the lab today .

Not only talking about the Olympus Trip 35:

and creating a collection :

is timeless.

Everyone has a pitch. This one is a square in Brussels on the first afternoon of a long weekend, a regulation goal and three kids treating it like a final. Some rules don't need translating.

⁨Brussels⁩, ⁨Brussels-Capital Region⁩, ⁨Belgium⁩

Nice light in my neighborhood during a walk close to the "Mont des Arts".

We can see the "Notre Dame de la Chapelle" church in the background.

This shot was taken with the X3 in my "old" iPhone 13 Pro (75 mm equivalent in the 35 mm format).

A narrow city street is framed in a tall “canyon” composition, with old stone buildings lining both sides and a church rising in the center distance. Warm golden-hour sunlight breaks through clouds, casting long shadows and highlighting the church’s gray domed roof and slender spire, while overhead power lines cut across the sky. A few pedestrians and parked cars line the street at the bottom of the frame, creating a calm, nostalgic atmosphere.

Analog street photography. A perfectly centered, impossibly thin white building is sandwiched between two wider, classical European facades in Brussels. In the foreground, three pedestrians cross a zebra crossing in different directions. The colors have a soft, cinematic film aesthetic.

High-angle view of the magnificent art nouveau staircase at Maison Hannon in Brussels. Those stairs feature intricate wrought-iron railings and are adorned with captivating frescoes, creating a stunning and immersive atmosphere. Below the stairs, a striking mosaic adds to the opulent design. Maison Hannon was designed by architect Jules Brunfaut and constructed between 1903 and 1904.
