The image is a black and white, close-up portrait of a black and white cat. The cat is lying down, with its paws tucked neatly underneath its chest. The composition is tightly focused on the cat's face, filling most of the frame. The background is blurred, suggesting the cat is the sole subject of attention.
The cat has distinct black fur covering its head and back, contrasting sharply with its white chest, chin, and muzzle. Its face is the most detailed area: the white fur on its muzzle and around its nose is finely textured, and long, white whiskers fan out from either side of its nose. The cat's eyes are a focal point, though they appear somewhat obscured or distorted by an overlaid effect, possibly representing some kind of visual processing or artistic interpretation. One eye seems to be looking directly at the viewer with a slight squint, while the other is more obscured. The cat's ears are pointed and stand erect.
The image has a monochrome palette, with deep blacks and bright w

Birch trunk over ferns, Finland

#photography #nature #outdoors #finland #fern #birch #forest #relaxation #meditation #abundance #green

A birch tree trunk rises through a dense carpet of bright green ferns in a Finnish forest.
The pale, textured bark is heavily covered with dark lichen and moss, creating a strong central vertical form.
Fern fronds overlap in layers, filling almost the entire frame with intricate patterns and textures.
Spruce branches enter from the lower left, adding a contrasting evergreen texture.
The intimate composition emphasizes the richness, repetition, and vitality of the forest floor.

The Boat Sank –
Get over it..

Mari Rhydwen, (Slow Travel) – A message on a t-shirt of a passenger on a bus in Mombasa.

Five years ago on this BlogBlogger Whipoorwill commented on a previous post about meditation and dreams:

Drömmar. Allting handlar om våra drömmar.

Men vi glömmer.

Swedish to English Translation:

Dreams. Everything is about our dreams.

But we forget.

Photo by Matheus Natan on Pexels.comThis quotation resonated today.

Dreams help us sort daily events in our memory. Dreams can also rehearse how we react to situations. Sometimes we don’t remember, as the blogger alluded. But sometimes we don’t forget.

Do you agree? What are your thoughts on the relevance of dreams and the T-shirt saying?
