Morning Light and Shadow Play

#streetphotography #morninglight #shadows #silhouettes #urban #citylife #lightandshadow #contrast #passersby #sunshine #morningwalk #pentax

Two passers-by cast long, dramatic shadows on a sunny morning street. Strong golden light from the east floods the pavement, silhouetting the figures against a stark white construction wall adorned with notices. The dark foreground frames the scene, highlighting the geometry and quiet encounter in the clear, sharp light of a new day.

Allgäu, Late Summer (2024)

(Almost too cliché, but it doesn't take away its beauty...)

#MorningWalk #LandscapePhotography #Photography #Fog #Bavaria

View of a small village nestled in a hilly landscape with green pastures (incl. a few small herds of cows) and patches of forest. A large area of thick fog in further distance, the fog also drifting through the forest and gentle valleys near the village. Everything is bathed in warm late summer morning light, still casting long shadows. The view is from a higher up mountain and a sliver of the lands further back (behind the fog) are visible near the top of the image. No sky.

Misty cobbles and spire

A quiet, cobbled street lined with weathered brick and timber-fronted houses fades into the fog. A white church with a tall spire emerges through the mist while a lone figure walks away and a car sits at the kerb, giving the scene scale. Soft, muted colours and old lampposts create a timeless, atmospheric mood.
