„Quartett“

Close-up of a white building facade with four symmetrically arranged windows featuring light blue wooden shutters. Two windows are on the upper floor, and two are directly below on the ground floor. The lower windows and the upper right window are open, revealing white curtains with a dandelion pattern. The upper left window is closed, but its shutters are slightly ajar. A grey base with two small cellar windows is visible at the bottom of

Light at the End

Lennestadt 09/26

The image is a black and white, low-angle shot looking through a dark, corrugated metal tunnel towards an opening. The tunnel's circular structure dominates the foreground and midground, creating a strong sense of depth and leading the eye outwards. The texture of the corrugated metal is emphasized by the dramatic lighting, with highlights catching the ridges and shadows deepening the grooves. The floor of the tunnel is paved with dark bricks, which appear wet or reflective in places, adding to the moody atmosphere. At the end of the tunnel, the opening reveals a bright, outdoor scene. In the center of this opening stands a person, silhouetted against the brighter background.

Winter Day

Leipzig 01/26

The image is a stark black and white silhouette, capturing a scene on a bridge. The dominant elements are the silhouette of a person and the intricate branches of trees against a bright sky. In the foreground, a figure, silhouetted against the bright sky, stands on a pathway leading up to a bridge. The person appears to be wearing a coat and a hat, with their face obscured. They are positioned towards the left of the frame. The bridge itself is a prominent feature, rendered as a solid black silhouette. It has a railing with decorative, spherical finials on top of posts. The railing and posts create a series of strong vertical and horizontal lines, broken by the spaces between the balusters, which allow the bright sky to show through. Shadows cast by the bridge and its structure are visible on the pathway.

Day 254

+

A last minute twilight episode of for today.

A close-up shot of a single green fern frond centered vertically against a pastel gradient sky. The sky smoothly transitions from a soft, warm pink at the bottom to light violet on the middle to a deep twilight blue at the very top. The individual green leaflets of the fern are sharply focused and the veins can be seen through the backlight.

It's been a while since we've played 20 questions for so here ya go! I did several crops for this and decided on the middle ground.

Heads up (mainly so that @NotAHopeInHades@pixelfed.social doesn't go bananas with me): I'm going to be watching Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home in the theatre shortly, so I will answer all questions later on!

Have at it!

I captured this image with my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V camera many years ago.

Did you ever have a camera like this?

A close-up, backlit shot of a slender thorny branch in the foreground, with the golden light of the setting sun shining directly behind it. The left background features a plain, brightly lit wall, while the right shows a warm sunset sky with the blurred silhouette of a tree and rooftops in the distance.

„When Time Stands Still /// Wenn die Zeit stillsteht“

A minimalist long-exposure photograph of a seascape on the Danish Baltic Sea coast. In the foreground, large, dark, water-smoothed boulders rest in the misty, blurred water. In the far distance, several old wooden posts emerge from the calm sea against a pale horizon, with a few seabirds perched on top. The entire image has a cool, serene blue and monochromatic tone.
