Some of the many stalwart redwood trees at the forest named after them in Warburton.

This is my second visit to the forest, and it still delivers. It's a lovely tranquil area, with nice ferny-bush surroundings and a river running down the back of the redwood area. There's also plenty of mushrooms poking out of fallen trees and such that will almost certainly appear in some future photos here...

Warburton, Victoria, Australia

A photograph of the base of a redwood tree. The tree occupies most of the right hand side of the image, connecting to the ground about 1/3 of the way from the bottom of the photo, and is reddish-brown bark. The ground is covered in brown redwood leaf litter and varies from light to dark, some is saturated and some is pale. In the background is more redwood trees, and the green leaves of those trees can be seen though they are blurry. A little light can be seen from the sky as well. The scene is dimly lit, with sunlight coming from behind filtering through the redwood trees from behind before reaching the scene in front. Much of the scene is in shadow, including the redwood trees in the background.
