This is a colour photo in portrait format of the front facade of a multi-floored, highly ornate and colourful, Buddhist temple located in Chinatown, Singapore (2012). Extending along the base of the photo is a string of multi-coloured, square flags that stretch from the left to the right edge of the photo, this is above the entrance which is out of view below. Above is a tiled, pitched roof that again stretches across the image. The roof is covered with glazed, grey, oriental tiles with a lintel that extends along the ridge of the roof with a large bright golden mythical figure head at each end of the ridge. Between the roof and the row of flags is a large rectangular plaque with a golden filagree surround and three large golden Chinese characters. The windows of the first floor are mostly obscured by the entrance roof. Above the first floor windows is a small roof leaning out in front of the building, one either side of the centre.
