This is a black and white street photo in landscape format of the silhouette of a person who is looking out to sea with a bank of sea fog in the distance and an island rising out of the fog. Mui Wo, Hong Kong (2013). The rippled, silver and black sea water rises from the base of the photo upwards to the three-quarters up level. Slightly to the left and below centre is the silhouette of our person. They are viewed from behind at a distance of a few metres with them filling a little over one third of the height of the image. They are standing at the waters edge on a small harbour wall that is out of view below. The person is viewed from the waist up, is wearing a dark short sleeved shirt and is all in deep shadow. The only item not in shadow is a wide brimmed straw hat that is very slightly tilted to the left. Beyond our person is an expanse of sea with a single small boat above and to the right of centre. Behind the boat is that bank of sea fog that rises perhaps only ten metres above
