This is a black and white photo in landscape format of a Brig (square rigged tall ship) underway through the deep water channel with the crew on the yards setting sail. Southampton Water, UK (2019). The near calm waters of the Solent rise upwards from the base of the photo to the quarter up level. The horizon is ill defined since there is an early morning sea fog reducing the visibility to less than one km. In the lower left corner of the image are two large navigation buoys, the closer dark buoy sits on a large cylindrical base with four tall vertical, rectangular panels on the sides and a square panel at the top. A little further away is a further buoy, lighter in tone than the first, with four panels that slope inwards creating a triangle: topped with a further triangle. Very slightly to the left of centre in the photo is our square rigged tall ship that has just passed between the two buoys from left to right.
