Helicopters carrying out cooling operations after the La Mierla wildfire, collecting water from a small pond near Tamajón.

They kept coming in low, lowering the bucket into the water, lifting off again and heading back towards the burned area. A repetitive operation, but quite hypnotic to watch.

White firefighting helicopter hovering over a small pond while filling an orange water bucket. Dry grassland, reeds and forested mountains fill the background under a blue sky with clouds. Yellow and blue firefighting helicopter hovering over a pond with its water bucket below. Several birds fly across the scene, with reeds in the foreground and dry fields and wooded hills behind. Close side view of a white firefighting helicopter flying with an orange water bucket suspended beneath it. The aircraft stands out against a blue sky, with low wooded hills below. Yellow and blue firefighting helicopter hovering very low over a pond while lowering its water bucket. Reeds and dry grass surround the water, with forested mountains in the background. Yellow and blue firefighting helicopter flying away with an orange water bucket suspended beneath it, surrounded by a wide blue sky with scattered clouds and distant mountains below.
