Faded Summer

๐Ÿ“ท๏ธ Ricoh GRIIIX

This black-and-white photograph captures a close-up of thickets of faded plants. In the center and right part of the frame are several stems with dry, tousled buds, resembling the fluffy heads of sow thistle or thistle. The shallow depth of field isolates them from the background, which turns into a soft, blurred space of similar silhouettes and stems. The plants have already bloomed, and their seeds are ready to scatter in the wind. The image conveys a feeling of late summer, light melancholy, and the quiet, almost graphic beauty of fading nature.

Brick and Plaster

๐Ÿ“ท๏ธ Ricoh GRIIIX

This black-and-white photograph captures a fragment of an old city building, shot from a low angle looking upward. The frame is built on the contrast of two textures: on the left and in the center โ€” dark, rough brickwork with deep joints and traces of time; on the right โ€” a smooth, light plastered wall. A vertical drainpipe divides the composition and guides the viewer's eye. Windows with white frames are visible on the facade. In the lower left corner, in the foreground, a concrete pillar with a broken sphere stands out โ€” a detail that adds a feeling of abandonment to the frame. Above, against the gray sky, thin wires and the edge of the roof are visible. The image conveys the atmosphere of an old city, where architecture preserves traces of time.

Through the Thicket

๐Ÿ“ท๏ธ Ricoh GRIIIX

This black-and-white film photograph captures the top of an Orthodox church hidden in a dense forest thicket. The frame is built on the technique of natural framing: the dense, dark foliage of the trees forms an almost closed "window," through which only the silhouette of the church's onion dome with a cross is visible. The dome itself has a characteristic "scaly" texture and is topped with an Orthodox cross. Behind it, a light, cloudy sky is visible. The foreground is filled with dark branches and grass. The image conveys an atmosphere of solitude, silence, and spiritual concentration, where nature seems to protect and hide the shrine from prying eyes.

Sunset in the Windshield

๐Ÿ“ท๏ธ Ricoh GRIIIX

This color photograph captures an evening courtyard in a quiet urban neighborhood. In the center of the composition is a gray car parked at the edge of the road. The main detail of the shot is the bright, golden reflection of a neighboring yellow house in the car's windshield, resembling a tiny sunset caught in the glass. On the right rises the facade of that same yellow building with a white window, with the warm light of the sunset falling on its wall. In the background, other parked cars are visible โ€” a silver one and a dark red one โ€” along with dense green trees and a fence. A gray electrical box with graffiti stands by the wall of the house. The image conveys the atmosphere of a quiet, warm evening and the coziness of an urban courtyard, where the light of sunset transforms ordinary things.

The Space of the Station

๐Ÿ“ท๏ธ Ricoh GRIIIX

A view from inside a train carriage. The dark blue seats create a cozy but cold atmosphere. Another train and the silhouette of a person are reflected in the window, and a "No Smoking" sign is visible. The image conveys a sense of travel and looking at the world from within. A wide shot from the platform. Shadows from the canopy fall on the tiles, creating a graphic pattern. A woman in an orange jacket with a suitcase walks toward the camera, her figure setting the scale and direction of movement. An RZD train reflected in a puddle on the roadside. The dark water creates an "upside-down world" effect, and the company logo turns into a mirrored inscription. The image conveys a sense of dampness and a quiet, melancholic atmosphere. A stark, almost brutalist architecture of a concrete overpass above the tracks. Two symmetrical staircases, massive columns, and a slender human figure on one of them. Wires crossing the sky add graphic quality to the frame. The image conveys a sense of monumentality and solitude.

"With love" - The inscription on the toy's paw

๐Ÿ“ท๏ธ Ricoh GRIIIX

This black-and-white photograph captures a huge, discarded teddy bear sitting sadly on the ground against an old brick wall. The toy looks worn out and dirty, with its left leg torn open and its head tilted mournfully to one side. The central detail of the frame is the touching inscription "With love" ("ะก ะปัŽะฑะพะฒัŒัŽ") on the sole of its right foot. The stark contrast between this warm message and the bleak surroundings โ€” scattered garbage, an empty bottle, and a cardboard box โ€” creates a profound atmosphere of loneliness, abandonment, and unrequited feelings.
