Where the canal trail meets the OC&E woods line rail trail. The OC&E trail is over 100 miles long. It stands for Oregon, California, and Eastern, and was used to transport timber. From Klamath Falls to Olene, it's paved, and the rest is gravel. I turned around at Dairy because the trail was closed due to a nearby wildfire.

A small steel truss railroad bridge crosses a calm canal. The canal reflects the bridge and the taller trees around it.

After Link River, I rode the trail on A Canal to get to OC&E. There are many of these canals here from the Klamath Project in the 1900s to "reclaim" land from wetlands and lakes and to irrigate the farms on the "reclaimed" land. So the following few photos will show these farmlands.

A wide and calm canal is flanked by mostly yellow grass, leading to a rounded mountains in the distance. The mountain, low-rise buildings nearby, and tall light poles are reflected in the canal.

Behind where they are moored there is a hedge running into the distance and several large houses can be seen on top of a hill in the distance A rather long, quite modern looking grey canal boat moored at the far side of the basin in front of a building, possibly apartments built with light brown bricks with cream surrounds to the windows A view up the canal towards Worcester city, several canal boats moored on the far side in front of office buildings A canal , the towpath on the right has 2 people walking along it, overhanging trees and bushes and a canal boat moored just before a road bridge crosses it. The opposite bank has modern 3-4 storey buildings and a larger canal boat moored.

A narrowboat on a canal, reflected somewhat in the nearly still water. It has just passed under an old brick arched bridge. There are 2 people on the front of it and 2 others walking along the tow path on the left hand side. Rushes can be seen on the opposite side of the canal and bushes next to the tow path on the left. A couple of trees, one on each bank grow across looking as if they may touch each other framing the boat, bridge and walkers

The canal recedes from camera and curves to the right, surrounded by an industrial landscape of buildings and bridges under a blue sky with clouds. Its famously toxic water is a sickly green, divided into two channels by floating barges of dredging equipment — part of the effort to clean up the canal by scooping out the “black mayonnaise” at its bottom (a sludge of “oil, coal, pesticides, rotting debris, raw sewage, chemicals, and heavy metals, which includes arsenic, benzene, chromium, mercury, and lead,” according to Gothamist). A boat on a canal. it has just passed under a brick bridge and passing under some overhanging trees. There are 2 people in the front of the boat, a lone person at the back on the tiller. 2 people are walking beside it on the tow path. The boat and vegetation on the opposite side of the canal are reflected in the water. A view of the back of a canal boat moving away from the camera, there is a man who is steering it standing at the back of the boat. The canal and tow path veer away to the left underneath a metal pipe suspended above the canal.
