#woods - Openbook

I took a walk in the woods and happened up this giant. This is, so I'm told, "Hen of the Woods". I was told this is edible, but didn't try any. As ever with foraging, if you're not 110% sure, then leave it well alone!

This is the third year this has been here and it gets a bit bigger every year.

A misty, atmospheric old-growth forest. A large, textured tree trunk dominates the right foreground, surrounded by layers of evergreen branches and dense white fog fading into the background.

This is a portrait format photo taken in the summer along a hiking trail that passes through a forested area. Rows of tall straight pine trees can be seen extending into the distance for about 100' or so. The trees have very few branches, so appear as fairly straight poles. It was a sunny day so shadows can be seen on the forest floor.

To find yourself you need to get lost

A calm stream flows through the shadows of a forest on a sunny summers day. Tall trees and thick vegetation is seen along both banks as well as large rocks in the water.

Noch schnell ein Foto für den #footpathfriday, denn der Hund wollte auch heute an die frische Luft, ins #Abenteuerland sozusagen. Damit hätten wir dann gleich noch etwas für die #hundequote getan.
