This is a portrait format photo taken in the summer of one wall of a "log built" building. The lower section of the wall is constructed of stonework, with squared off logs making up the upper portion. A larger window in the wall shows the reflection of a stone chimney which is on an adjacent wall. The corner of the wall shows how the squared off logs notch into each other. Lots of texture in this photo.

This is a portrait format photo taken in the summer along a hiking trail that passes through a forested area. Rows of tall straight pine trees can be seen extending into the distance for about 100' or so. The trees have very few branches, so appear as fairly straight poles. It was a sunny day so shadows can be seen on the forest floor.
