Hanging gracefully from a slender branch, small green fruits of the Japanese snowbell tree ripen into smooth, teardrop-like spheres. A Shield Bug/Stink Bug hanging out on some crispy leaves.

While I have you here, any recommendations of a good macro lens for a canon that won't cost a kidney? Thank you! ✨

This is a photograph of a brown sfield/stink bug. It is perched on a curved, fuzzy leaf which is lit up by golden backlighting. Around it there is some soft bokeh (? blur?) in warm orange and green tones.

A ground level view of a gravel track curving gently to the left through lush bushland. A vibrant strip of bright green moss grows directly down the centre of the gravel drive. On both sides, large green tree ferns and dense rainforest foliage frame the road under soft, diffused daylight. A faint outline watermark sits in the top left corner.

The Lonely Road 🛣️ for

Okay, you got me... It's not a long, empty road surrounded by green fields. It's the underside of a banana tree leaf! ✨

This photograph is a close-up of a large green banana leaf. It has a prominent stalk running vertically down the middle (which looks like a road to me). On either side of the stalk there are veins which extend horizontally across the leaf, creating a natural ribbed pattern (which I think look like fields, maybe it's because I'm from the country 😂). Some rays of sunlight filter through parts of the leaf and highlight vibrant yellow-green sections while there are some deeper green shadows.

Hang Tight 🦗 for "Detailfotografie" / "Detail photography"

This is a photo of a yellowish-brown grasshopper (at least from my research it appears to be an Egyptian Grasshopper and not a locust - but I am not sure!). It is hanging on to a leaf with head-downward and is against a dark, pitch-black background. Its body, compound eyes, antennas and jointed legs are lit up and in focus which helps to contrast against the dark surroundings. At least that was the plan 😂

The Rose Garden 🌹 for

This is a photograph of a friend's garden. There is a stone wall with an opening with an old, rusty metal door standing slightly open to a dark interior (more garden). A kind of dirt/gravel path leads toward the stone steps up to the door. There are flowering green vines which climb up the left side of the wall (a type of rose) and some leafy foliage frames the right (again a more rises and a tree 😂). In the foreground there is a blue potted plant with small pink blossoms.

A wide shot of a neatly manicured green lawn surrounded by tall, dense green hedges and trees. In the middle of the lawn sits a decorative white outdoor setting, consisting of two metal chairs and a small round table. Overcast light creates an even, soft brightness across the entire garden space. A watermark map outline sits in the bottom right corner.
