La imagen es una fotografía en blanco y negro, tomada en una de esas callejuelas empedradas y estrechas que uno se encuentra sin buscarlas en el casco antiguo de Peñíscola. Es de mañana, se nota enseguida: la luz llega suave, casi tímida, filtrándose entre los edificios como si aún no se hubiera despertado del todo. La toma está en vertical, mirando hacia arriba, por un callejón tan angosto que casi se puede tocar una fachada con cada mano. A la izquierda se levanta un edificio de varias plantas con el rótulo de un hostal, cuyo nombre solo se adivina a medias en la parte superior —el tiempo y la luz se han encargado de difuminarlo un poco—. Al fondo, y también a la derecha, aparecen otras construcciones blancas, de alturas distintas, y es que ahí está la gracia: se genera esa sensación de laberinto vertical tan propia de las calles peñiscolanas, donde nunca sabes muy bien hacia dónde te va a llevar el siguiente giro. Schwarzweiss-Foto eines Sonnenaufganges an der Ostsee mit einigen Möwen auf dem Wasser. Die Sonne von ausserhalb des Bildes spiegelt sich hell auf dem Wasser in der Bildmitte. Die dunklen Bereich außen links und rechts sind Strand im Gegenlicht und deshlb nur sehr dunkel abgebildet. Aus einem flachen Zwischenbereich des Strandes läuft Wasser zurück in die Ostsee.

La fotografía es una composición marina en blanco y negro que muestra el Castillo del Papa Luna de Peñíscola visto desde la Playa Sur, poco después del amanecer. La imagen sigue una estructura de tres planos clásica en fotografía de paisaje. En primer término, ocupando casi un tercio inferior del encuadre, aparece un grupo de rocas oscuras y de superficie irregular parcialmente sumergidas en el agua, que actúan como elemento de anclaje visual y aportan textura y profundidad. Esta es una fotografía en blanco y negro de las Casas Colgadas de Cuenca, uno de los símbolos más reconocibles de la ciudad y de la arquitectura tradicional española, capturada probablemente desde el mirador cercano al Puente de San Pablo. La imagen se centra en el volumen principal de las Casas Colgadas, mostrando su característica estructura de balconadas de madera voladas que se asoman literalmente al vacío sobre la hoz del río Huécar. El encuadre vertical enfatiza la verticalidad de la roca caliza sobre la que se asienta el edificio, dejando un amplio espacio de cielo en la parte superior que aporta sensación de altura y aislamiento a la construcción. La fotografía, en blanco y negro, muestra la Torre de los Alarconcillos vista desde una cierta distancia, en un plano general que la sitúa en su contexto paisajístico. La torre —de planta circular, maciza, con cuatro torrecillas adosadas orientadas a los puntos cardinales— se alza sobre un pequeño promontorio en primer/medio plano, con su característico acceso en arco apuntado a media altura y las almenas desgastadas por el paso del tiempo, reflejo de que hoy se conserva desmochada y sin estructuras interiores. En primer término aparece vegetación densa y silvestre —matorral bajo, arbustos y lo que parecen cañas altas— que enmarca la parte inferior de la composición. This is a grungy night time photo looking along a wooden pier aligned with and towards the TransAmerica Pyramid in downtown San Francisco (2012). Extending away from the camera and into the distance, about 150m away is the wooden pier. The rough wooden planks that form the surface cross at right angles to the pier and stretch away from the base of the image to the centre of the photo. On the side of the pier are metal railings with illuminated ornamental street lights spaced every 3 or 4 metres and casting a star like glow or aura around the lamp. Set inwards a metre of so from the railing are pairs of park benches facing outwards. The wooden planks, metal railings and street lights converge to a point with increasing distance towards the city end of the pier. Beyond is a night time cityscape with the high-rise buildings descending downwards from the business district on the left side to the low-rise residential buildings on the right. Aligned with the pier and in the middle ground,
