This is a black and white sports photo in landscape format of a young woman surfing at sunrise. Hermosa Beach, California (2013). Stretching diagonally across the photo from the lower left corner towards the upper right is the foaming surf of a breaking wave that's moving from right to left. In the centre of the image is our teen surfer, surfing across the wave from right to left. She is viewed from about five metres away and two metres above and with her filling about half the height of the photo. Her body is facing the camera while her head is angled ahead, inline with the surfboard. She has dark hair that is tied behind her head, is wearing a light toned t-shirt with 'Redondo' printed on the front and covering her wetsuit. Below her waist is obscured by the breaking wave. This is a black and white photo in landscape format of a group of young teens surfing shortly after sunrise. Hermosa Beach, California (2013). Descending from the upper left corner diagonally across the the photo down towards the lower right corner is a wave that rises upwards about two metres and starts to curl from the centre of the photo downwards and is in motion from right to left. Scattered around the centre of the image is the group of five young male teens, all dressed in black wetsuits and standing on their surfboards ahead of the breaking wave. The young surfers are viewed from above and at a distance of ten to fifteen metres. The surfers are in a line across, each separated by a metre or two. The closest teen to the camera is crouched very slightly as he surfs across the wave and towards the camera. This is a black and white photo in landscape format of a Bulk Carrier ship leaving port and passing a lighthouse located at the end of a breakwater. San Pedro, California (2018). The rippled and silver toned sea water rises from the base of the photo upwards to the one third up level. In the centre of the image is the stern of our medium sized (178m long) bulk cargo ship, underway and moving away from the camera at a slow speed, leaving little wake behind. The vessel is viewed obliquely with the stern and port side in view, with the ship filling a third of the width and a third of the height of the photo and viewed from about 20m away. The ship is riding high in the water with 3m of dark antifouling in view with a lighter toned hull above. The white accommodation and wheelhouse superstructure is close to the stern with a tall rectangular funnel above. Forward are four large cranes spaced evenly on the centreline of the deck. This is a colour photo in landscape format of a large container ship underway and leaving port at sunrise with a tug departing to one side and a lighthouse ahead. Port of Los Angeles, California (2018). Extending upwards from the base of the photo to less than the quarter up level is a calm and mirror like, light blue, harbour water. Stretching from the right edge of the photo, going left and through the centre to towards the right side of the photo is our container ship. Stretching from the right edge of the photo to a little less than the half way across point is a fierce braking Pacific wave. The wave which is now a little less than two metre high, is moving from right to left, viewed from two metres above and a few metres away from the closest point.
