Day 249

Today was a good day. We got to take @Sk8r_Grrl@pixelfed.social and her partner up Moel y Gest to leave some ashes from her doggo Zeus with my boy Hitch. But also being able to share my favourite little mini-mountain with someone so special to me was just really wonderful. It was a perfect hike and a perfect day and I'm overflowing with mushy gratitude right now.

High-angle view of a vibrant landscape in North Wales. In the foreground, an ancient dry-stone wall with uneven white-and-grey stones is surrounded by purple heather and green ferns. Beyond the ridge is a wide valley with a patchwork of bright green pastures and small clusters of white houses. In the distance, rolling hills stretch across the horizon under a blue sky filled with wispy white clouds.

Best I got today is this view from my front garden. Yep... Managed to get out of my front door and walk 6 whole feet for this pic. And also did so in the 3 minutes that a blue sky popped out. It's a mess, but it's my mess.

The stunning entrance porch to Wern Manor.

Some friends are staying there this week so I got to take some photos without being run off by the owner (as has happened before 😬). It's an incredible manor house and I'm so happy that it's being slowly renovated and brought back to life.

An ornate stone entrance porch with heavy arched black wooden double doors featuring raised geometric paneling and large metallic ring knockers. There are intricate geometric carvings on the sandstone pilasters and over the door. At the top of the porch, pointed finials rise into a moody sky.
